Sustainability is part of our DNA.

Sustainability is a term that you cannot explain in just a few words. The concept is so complex that you cannot use the term without any further explanation though. If you want to break it down, you can divide it into ecologic, economic and social sustainability. Only by regarding all of those three aspects, you can achieve a balanced sustainability concept.

We are not saying that we are perfect yet fulfilling all its different facets. We see it as a journey that makes us better every day. But you can be ensured that for all our decisions, we take all 3 dimensions into account and none of them has a higher standing than the other. We started our journey with all of them in mind and we are grateful to have this balance in our DNA.

Although the term “sustainability” is to hard to grab, it is widely used and misused by companies and brands out there. For you to get a better understanding of what sustainability means to us, we would like you to have a closer look at the following chapters.

▼Sustainability at WONDA in a nutshell

► Packaging

We use 100% eco-friendly packaging for which we carefully and consciously selected our suppliers.

We use recycled tissue paper, the yarn that holds it together is made from organic cotton and our greetings are written and printed on recycled paper.

Due to sustainability reasons, we consciously avoided the usage of hygiene pads. Therefore, we kindly ask you to wear underwear when trying on your bikini.

► Design

Our products are made to last – but not only due to superior quality but also because of our classic & timeless design.

This allows you to wear your bikini for several seasons and years because it won’t fall out of trend.

We want to encourage people to step away from fast fashion and jump on the journey of supporting slow, circular fashion.

► Circular economy

Resources are nothing that we are taking for granted. Whenever we have the chance to recycle, reuse or upcycle, we get super excited. This doesn’t only count for our sourcing process but especially for the leftovers and waste product that occur due to our business activities. We are very conscious about our whole supply chain and therefore are aiming to integrate all resources back into the business cycle.

► Contribution

At WONDA we share the mission to make an impact even beyond the borders of our company’s ecosystem. Thats why we have partnered with the Lisbon Surfrider Foundation and decided to donate 1€ of every bikini order through our online shop to them.

Lisbon Surfrider Foundation is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to protect and showcase the importance of lakes, rivers, the ocean, waves, and coastlines along our beautiful home country – Portugal.
